The story of Palisades Medical Center parallels the story of the Hudson River community. In our thirty years together, we have faced tremendous stresses and challenges, as well as enjoyed remarkable accomplishments and experienced great pride.The 1990's brought the turnaround. Developers discovered the waterfront, accelerating the community's growth at a breakneck pace. Thousands of new residents flocked to the area. Jobs, housing and a quality lifestyle had become "even more readily available. At the same time, strong hospital leadership forged an alliance with the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System and the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Within a few short years, the Medical Center was bustling with new programs such as the Comprehensive Breast Care Center, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, and the Neonatal Critical Care Unit. Our progress and appeal is evidenced by substantial growth in the medical staff and care augmented significantly with access to the country's top physicians at New York-Presbyterian.We are now positioning ourselves to be ready for future growth and development. Our 30th Anniversary campaign is building on our solid foundation for a strong and healthy future. We believe that successful development relies on four essential ingredients:
