A Community in Transition
When Palisades Medical Center moved to its current River Road location in 1978, no one knew it would be in the heart of the waterfront restoration. Today, we stand ready to serve our changing community that includes lifelong residents and those new to the area. Our quality care reaches 350,000 residents in north Hudson and southern Bergen counties.
As in the past, residents of our community are looking for leadership from Palisades Medical Center to bring innovative and progressive solutions to meet their medical needs. Our patients not only value quality health care and emergency treatment, but also expect educational opportunities to enhance their knowledge enabling them to make the best decisions regarding their health and that of their family. Palisades Medical Center is positioned to provide all of this.

Responding to the Challenges of Change
In 1999, Palisades Medical Center teamed up with the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System joining its two renowned medical centers, New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. This affiliation provides our patients with access to the most advanced medical care and highest quality specialty are in the nation.
Our effort to bring top-level experience to our community continues daily with an emphasis on recruitment and professional development. We currently have over 300 board certified and board eligible physicians on our medical staff. Additionally, in 2005 we added over 50 professionals to our nursing staff to provide our patients with even greater personal attention.
We have also invested in technology to enhance the quality of care provided. Included in the wide range of advanced technology is northern New Jersey’s first 64-Multi-Slice CT Scanner. We have made similar investments in our Cardiac department, our comprehensive Breast Center, and throughout the Medical Center.
